He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Litchfield and Margaret Litchfield; and his brother Rex. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Boxleitner; his children, Ryan (Jayme), Stacy (Charone Fuller) and Dana Litchfield (Marcy Kritikos); his grandchildren, Drew and Payge Litchfield; his sisters, Debora Choutka (Alan) and Linda Fenlaciki (Jon); and his sister-in-law Loree Litchfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or charity of choice.
