April Deatherage Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of April Deatherage of Marine, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Kyle Deatherage and Karen Deatherage; her parents, Casmir Karpowicz and Rose Anna Karpowicz; and her brother Eddie Karpowicz.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Deatherage (Kelley) of Highland, IL, Kenneth Deatherage (Ashleigh) of St. Jacob, IL and Anna Rapp (Nick) of Vacaville, CA; her daughter-in-law Sarah Steele of Marine, IL; her grandchildren, Chase Schultz, Cameron, Kaylee, Dawson, Dayton, Camden Deatherage, Lyla Rapp, Mia Steele and Archer Rapp; her great grandchild Atlas Schultz; and her siblings, Kenneth Karpowicz of Fenton, MO, Diane Wright (Gary) of Hillsboro, MO, Linda Weiss (Gary) of Fenton, MO and Rosie Prado of Arnold, MO. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many grand dogs.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church (120 N Windmill St, Marine, IL 62061). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
