With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carol Clendenin of Marion, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shrum and Bessie Shrum (Davenport); her sons, Paul Clendenin and Ricky Clendenin; her daughters-in-law, Rachel Clendenin and Janice Clendenin; her granddaughters, Crystal Lynn Clendenin and April Michelle Clendenin; and her sisters, Adele Long, Helen Cook, Betty Mayfield and Vivian Alean Shrum.

She is survived by: her husband Rev. Cecil L. Clendenin of Marion; her children, Garry Clendenin of Johnston City, IL and Becky Clendenin of Marion; her daughter-in-law Lea Ann Clendenin of Marion; her grandchildren, David Clendenin (Paige), Danny Clendenin (Francesca), Nathan Clendenin, Christy Lewis (Trey), Amber Joy Clendenin, Kendell Clendenin, Kayla Clendenin, Jason Clendenin, Chris Clendenin, Faith Clendenin, Caleb Clendenin and Gabriel Clendenin; her great grandchildren, Edan Clendenin, Jazmine Clendenin, Brooklyn Clendenin, Missy Clendenin, Lexi Clendenin, Keller Clendenin and Titus Lewis; her great great grandchildren, Kyler and Amirah; her siblings, William L. "Bill" Shrum (Patricia) of San Jose, CA, Joe Shrum of Houston, TX and Terry Theissen (Jim) of Colorado Springs, CO; Chris Clendenin (Rhoda) of Marion. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
