Cheryl Ponder Whitehead Obituary
We bid farewell to Cheryl Ponder Whitehead of Marion, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 16, 2025 at the age of 77. Cheryl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ameul Ponder and Maurine Ponder; her sister Sheila Winters; and her grandson-in-law James Adair. She is survived by: her son Darren Whitehead; her siblings, Sharon Bundren (Gary) and Mike Ponder (Florence); her grandchildren, Zach Faulkner, Brittany Adair, Janae Whitehead and Bruce Whitehead; and her nephews, Mike Bundren (Mellissa), Jeff Bundren (Patty) and Andy Ponder (Ashley). She is also survived by numerous niece and nephews, and a grandchild.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (216 W McDonald St, Marion, IL 62959).
