David Gene Overby Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on September 16, 2025, at the age of 79, David Gene Overby of Marion, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, David shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid David farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Max and Mary Jean Overby (Clark). He is survived by: his daughter Melanie Porter (Robby) of Flora, IL; and his grandson Gabriel Porter. He is also survived by several extended family members and many friends.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the "Alzheimer's Association.".
