We announce the death of Emily Sue Eldridge (Marion, Illinois), who passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 74. Emily will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth McNeely and Dorothy McNeely (Harris). She is survived by: her husband Donald Mark Eldridge of Marion; her children, Gretchen Olivia Eldridge of Rockford, IL and Benjamin Mark Eldridge (Stephanie) of Marion; her grandchildren, Asher Mark Eldridge of Marion and Elliana Jean Eldridge of Marion; and her siblings, Mary Lee (Mike), Kevin McNeely (Carla) and Kenny Blumenstock. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grange Hall Baptist Church (9950 Grassy Rd, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Grange Hall Freewill Baptist Church (9950 Grassy Rd, Marion, IL 62959).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) and Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the church or may be mailed to McCluskie Funeral Home/ 501 S. 12th St./ Herrin, IL 62948. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
