As we bid adieu to Evelyn's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Evelyn has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Carlton and Luella Carlton (Dillard); and her spouse Eddie Gene Barber. She is survived by: her sons, Kort Barber (Brenda) of Marion and Kade Barber (Kenya) of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandsons, Sloan, Austin, Logan, Kaden and Khaner Barber; and her son Steve Rath of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
For those who prefer, the family has requested memorial contributions be made payable to the "SIU Theater Department.".
