He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Rivers and Illa Rivers; his brother Gary Rivers (MaryEllen); and his daughter Dawn Marie Rivers. He is survived by: his wife Edythe Ann Merrill; his friend Jerry Bechtel; his daughters, Michelle Hamilton (Quent) and Barbie Barnett (Tim); his grandchildren, Holden Reel (Swaaty), Emily McGee (Matt), Lexy Blevins, Brook Hamilton, Peyton Barnett and Presley Clark (Deven); and his great grandchild Mya Marie McGee.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Jon's memory to the John A. Logan College Foundation/Baseball.
