It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Hanks of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrian Widener and Betty Widener (Groover); her husband Tony Hanks; and her daughter-in-law Linda Hanks. She is survived by: her sons, Tony Hanks (Darla) of Springfield, Missouri, James Hanks (Kimberly) of Harrisburg and Steven "George" Hanks of Harrisburg; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hanks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Zachary Hanks of Portland, Oregon, Brian Hanks of Harrisburg, Adrien Hanks of Harrisburg, Jeremiah Hanks (Hannah) and Mallory Rose (Matt) of Harrisburg; her great grandchildren, Grayson, Zurina, Violet, Hadley, Hunter, Aliza and Erilyn; and her siblings, Larry Widener of Evansville, Indiana and Judy Widener of Marion, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
