She was predeceased by: her parents, James Issac and Juanita Goldie Thomas (Goodwin); her sister Marlenia Kay Shepard; and her nephew Mark Baier. She is survived by: her husband John J. Clarida of Marion, IL; her children, John L. Clarida of Marion, IL, Connie Jo Holmes (Kevin) of Creal Springs, IL, James Clarida (Pam) of Marion, IL and Elizabeth A. Clarida of Herrin, IL; her grandchildren, Jonathan R. Clarida of Marion, IL, Jessica M. Clarida of Marion, IL, Hadley Holmes of Creal Springs, IL and Kerrigan Norris (Chris) of Marion, IL; her great grandchildren, Dutton James Norris, Avery Norris, Daphne Woods, Erik Woods, Mary Woods, Christopher Woods, Nevaeh Woods, Harley Woods, Amelia Woods, Brian Woods and Elliott Llewellyn; her siblings, Sherry LaBotte (Eddie) of Marion, IL, LeAnn Black of Marion, IL and John Thomas (Cindy) of Goreville, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Flora Reilly of Marion, IL and Cathy Strunk (Randall) of Crainville, IL. She is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to "Shriner's Hospital for Children.".
