He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Veldon and Lillian Louise Gooch (Stroud); and his brothers, Dennis Dean Gooch (Virginia) and Lyle Eugene Gooch. He is survived by: his children, David Gooch of Marion, IL and Brandi Futrell (Chris) of Marion, IL; his stepsons, Ray Rehder of Sikeston, MO and Steve Rehder (Nancy) of Marion, IL; his grandchildren, Raychel Jarrett (Kyle), Johnny Griswell (Jessica), Christian Rehder, Bradley Rehder, Nicky Rehder, Jeffrey Rehder, Tyler Baldi, Lily Baldi, Zach Baldi and Evie Futrell; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Karlei and Liam; his brother Tom Gooch (Barb) of Creal Springs, IL; and his sister-in-law Janet Gooch of Marion, IL. He is also survived by other extended family members and many friends.
