We announce the death of Phyllis C. Pitchford of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 84. Phyllis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl J. Dyel and Louisa A. Dyel (Richardson); and her sisters-in-law, Verla Pitchford and Mary Ann Davis. She is survived by: her husband Larry Pitchford of Marion; her sons, Terry Pitchford of Fredericksburg, VA and Jim Pitchford (Kristin) of Green Bay, WI; her aunt Carolyn Dyel; her brothers-in-law, Duane Pitchford and Chuck Davis; and her sister Kay Leathers (Bill) of Calvert City, KY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to "Aldersgate Global Methodist Church.".
