She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lloyd and Leona Britt; her husband Don Melvin; her son David Melvin; her daughter-in-law Lois Melvin; her granddaughter Rachael Louise Melvin; and her siblings, Helen Thode and Irvin Paul Britt.
She is survived by: her son Daryl Melvin of Herrin, IL.; her grandchild Jerime (Tracey Melvin) of Thompsonville, IL.; and her great grandchildren, Daven, McKenzie, Austin, Cooper, Dustin, Delaney, Madison, Maci, Paisley, Charlee and Landon.
