He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Newton and Bea Newton (Whitney); his wife Loudin McGuire; his siblings, Shannon Byrd and David "Taco" Newton; his sister-in-law Debbie Newton; and his brother Terry Godbey.
He is survived by: his close friends, Tom and Phyllis Tripp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Busby Chapel Cemetery (7715 IL-37, Goreville, IL 62939).
