She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershell Bernus and Bernice Evelyn Denton (Strange); her husband Rev. Cecil Atchison; her stepson Kent Atchison; and her brother Forest Denton.
She is survived by: her sons, David Blandford of Herrin, IL and Steven Blandford (Amy) of Carterville, IL; her grandchildren, Cole Blandford (Grey) of Carbondale, IL, Dalton Blandford of Cambria, IL, Riley Blandford of Makanda, IL, Lillian Atchison of Gainesville, FL and Eliza Atchison of Champaign, IL; her sisters, Karen Tinsman (Jerry) of Flora, IL, Terri Ettleson of Flora, IL and Toni Carder (Darrell) of Clay City, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Wanda Denton of Puxico, MO and Connie Cook (Cray) of Thompsonville, IL. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Aldersgate Global Methodist Church (1201 N Fair St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
