She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Edward and Irene Perry (Sarensen); her former husband Walter Ray Carruthers; her husband Joe Watson; her son Scott R. Carruthers; and her siblings, Juanita Hickman, Betty Hand, Ralph Perry, Jr. and Teddy Perry.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Carruthers; her daughter-in-law Renee Carruthers of Paducah, KY; her grandsons, Sean Carruthers of Texas and Seth Carruthers of Austin, TX; and her sisters, Patricia Ann Heape of Chesterfield, MO, LaDonna McGhee of Collinsville, IL, Marilyn Sue Williams of Murphysboro, Ruth Ebersohl of Murphysboro and Pamela Crews of Murphysboro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park (31 Memorial Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
Friends may make memorials to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
