It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley J Fox of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Verbal Barnett and Myrtle Barnett (Phillips); her brother Verbal Barnett (Betty); and her brothers-in-law, Howard Mattox and Andy Barwick.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy McConachie (Kenny) of Cutler, Illinois, Rhonda Wilson (Larry) of Steeleville, Illinois and Michael Fox (Felicia) of Sarasota, Florida; her grandchildren, Angela Meyer, Heather Duncan, Erica Freeman, Talitha Park and Michael McConachie; and her siblings, Robert Barnett (Becky), Sue Mattox (Jerry) of Lovonia, Georgia and Mildred Barwick of Marion, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blue Funeral Home (1704 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
