The memory of Shirley J. Mitchell of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Walker and Hazel Walker (Pride); her husband J. C. Mitchell; her sons, Bruce W. Mitchell and Michael G. Mitchell; her grandsons, Shawn M. Mitchell and Tyler K. Wall; and her brothers-in-law, Hartman Mitchell and Charles Mitchell.
She is survived by: her daughter Debby L. Wall (Keith) of Marion, IL; her grandchildren, Haley M. Perzee (Lyndon) of Marion, IL, Nathan M. Wall (Rob Carpenter) of San Diego, CA and Ethan J. Wall (Michelle) of Newton, KS; and her niece Michele Mitchell of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (1200 S Carbon St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
