Thomas Averitt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Averitt of Marion, Illinois, born in Newport, Kentucky, who passed away on June 19, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Averitt and Mary Averitt (Abner); his granddaughter Cecilia Emery; and his great grandchild Maxwell Emery. He is survived by: his children, Lori Emery of Marion and Tommy Averitt of Benton; his grandchildren, Katelyn Emery (Quinton Adams) of Stonefort, Nicholas Emery of Marion, Taryn Averitt of Goreville and Kathlyn; his great grandchildren, Maverick and Maddox Adams of Stonefort; his siblings, Carol Watkins (Neal) of Vienna, Mary Faulkner (Elry) of Vienna, Jesse Averitt of Vienna and John Paul Averitt of Anna; his brother-in-law William Mills (Hanna) of Vienna; and his close friend Joni Peairs of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
