He is survived by: his wife Helen Elders of Marion; his stepchildren, Gary Sims (Laurie) of Queen Creek, AZ, Angie Hammonds (Jason) of DeSoto, IL, Kendra Williams (Wayne) of Marion, IL, Brandon Sims (Laura) of Chesapeake, VA and Christy Polanco-Alvarado (Pablo) of Queen Creek, AZ.; his grandchildren, Keila Stearns (Josh), Ciera Weddle (Jacob), Bianca Cunningham (B. J.), Kayla, Tessah, Reagan Sims, Tyler, Zori Williams, Kenny Paintner (Lainey), Landen Owens (Sims), Logan Sims, Steven, Wiley, Chevy Elders and Sheila Gurley; his brothers-in-law, Bobby Hanks and Lindall Hanks; his friend Teresa Ward (David); and his close friends, Jim Aaron and Jimmy Headrick. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
