She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Patterson and Nellie Patterson; her husband James L. Gibson; her son Harold L. Gibson; and her siblings, Gene Patterson, Doyal Patterson, Jim Patterson, Virgie Hardy and Dillard Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Lourie Gibson Bleem (Steven), James A. Gibson (Penny) and Sandra J. Gibson Mahon (Jeff); her daughter-in-law Connie Gibson; her grandchildren, Skylar Bleem, Lacey Bleem, Ashley Bleem Swails (Jeff), Jimmy Gibson (Nichole), April Gibson Zimmermann (Jeff), Dr. Emily Mahon Grove (Michael), Nicholas J. Mahon (Kelsey), Sarah G. See (Alex), Abigail A. Luher, Rachel M. Luher and Daniel Luher (Aidee); and her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Madi, Drew, Emma, Declan, Lincoln, Benjamin, Timothy, Levi and David.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home (111 W Main St, Sparta, IL 62286). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sparta Hospital Auxiliary.
