With sadness, we share the passing of Rita Marie White of Marissa, Illinois. Rita, born on August 18, 1936 in Belleville, Illinois, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Stewart and Loretta Lee; her husband Gilbert "Gib" White; and her brother Robert E. Lee. She is survived by: her children, Mike White (Ronda) of Tilden, IL, Doug White (Connie) of Marissa, IL, Kent White (Sheila) of St. Louis, MO and Lori Harrison (Robert) of Sydney, Australia; her grandchildren, Brigette Geisen (Chris), Bryan White, Blake White, Chelsea Campbell (Aaron), Christopher White (Cindy), Daniel White, Eric White, Heather Gagliardi (John), Sarah Clemow (Drake), Sophia Harrison and Robert Harrison; her great grandchildren, Brennan (McKayla), Bayleigh (Ethan), Landon, Russell, Ellen, Annabelle, Statler, Quinlan, Vivianne, Olivia, Alexandra, Sienna, Penelope and Parker; her great great grandchildren, Asher and Cora; her siblings, Carl Louis "Torch" Lee of Marissa, IL and Janet Lenzo of Marissa, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Clayton Lenzo (Missy) of Carterville, IL, Douglas Lenzo (Raphaelle) of San Francisco, CA, Frankie Wolma (Bill) of Marietta, GA and Greta White of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (611 W Broadway St, Sparta, IL 62286). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
