He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gaffney and Gladys Irene Gaffney (Sigler); his stepfather Marco M. Bastai; his brothers, Edward John and Rich Francis "Big D" Gaffney; and his stepbrother Robert "Bob" Gaffney.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Schibrowsky of Marseilles; and his goddaughter Melissa Fenoglio (Jeff).
