He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Hoffman and Ida Hoffman (Geheber); and his siblings, Leon Hoffman, Helen Morris, Phyllis Canale and Robert Hagi.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Keneipp of Marseilles; his children, Todd Hoffman, Dawn Dorestal (Mario Sr.) and Amy Hoffman; his stepson Matt Tyack (Amy); his grandchildren, Mario Jr., Riley Dorestal, Courtney, Kaitlyn Zaragoza, Andrea Entwistle, Nolan, Preston, Grayson Conner, Emily and Miranda Tyack; his sisters, Betty Donovan and Marge Hoffman; and his niece Carol Crawford.
