She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anthony Gomes and Abelina Gomes; her siblings, Dolorosa Menezes (Sebastian), Julie Pereira (John), Elsie Fernandes (Ignatius), Dominic Gomes (Vivian), Michael Gomes (Olive), Alex, Manuel Gomes (Fairel) and Nicholas Gomes (Anna); and her husband Jim Hise. She was also cherished by her sisters felt responsible for their youngest brother since their mother.
