He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Charles Bruce and Hattie Stella (Spangenburg) Spires; wife: Joleen Parker; daughter: Malinda (Gary) Hudson; son: Kelly (Annette) Spires; grandsons: Wyatt (Halle) Johnson, Walker (Lyvvea) Spires, and Parker (Attica) Spires; step-grandchildren: Alex Furgeson and Michael Hudson; brothers and sisters: Raymond Spires, Mildred Elledge, Wayne Spries, Sarah Brashear, Chet Spires, and Paul Spires; caregivers: Louann Higgins, Sierra Knowles, Sharon Cunningham, Corrie Peccelle, and Crystal Griffith; other: Kenin Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pearce Funeral Home (314 S 6th St, Marshall, IL 62441). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
For thise so desiring memorial contributions may be made to either the Marshall Quarterback Club or to Clark County Post #90 Of the American Legion.
