He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Sanders and Gladys Paulsen Sanders. He is survived by: his brothers, James Dean Sanders and Everett Sanders; his stepdaughter Penny Skinner; his wife Helen Veach Sanders; his children, Teresa Speros (Steve Medley) of Marshall, Phillip Allen Sanders of Marshall and Troy Pinkston (Angie) of West Union, IL; his stepchildren, Dennis Allen Sanders (Cheryl) of Martinsville, Terry Sanders (Christie) of Martinsville and Kim Joab (Adam) of Indianapolis, IN; and his brothers, William E. Sanders, Camie Sanders, Phillip Sanders and Gerald Sanders. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 22 step-great grandchildren, one step great great grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pearce Funeral Home (314 S 6th St, Marshall, IL 62441). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
