It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Melcho of Marshall, Illinois, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Rufus Hickenbotham and Emagean Padgett Hickenbotham; her husband Joseph Noah Melcho; her sons, David, Mike, Steve and Robert; and her siblings, Dorothy Sullivan, Mildred Harris, Nancy Hanna and Richard Hickenbotham.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Hildebrand of Mattoon, IL, Dan Melcho (Marsha) of Marshall, IL, Judy Tingley (Kent) of West Union, IL and John Melcho of Marshall; her daughter-in-law Chris Melcho; her grandchildren, Karen Melcho, Stacey Keller, Elise Melcho, Dylan Melcho (Anna), Stephanie Melcho, Jared Melcho, David Tingley (Danielle), Jeff Tingley, Bryan Tingley, Melissa Vest (Scott), Sara Larson (Andrew), Kati Melcho, Kelly Melcho, Jonathon Melcho (Angelina) and Jonah Melcho; and her brother Ray Hickenbotham (Mary). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
