He was predeceased by : his parents, William Boehrnsen and Louise Gierke Boehrnsen; his brothers, Willard Boehrnsen and Glendon Boehrnsen; and his son-in-law Jim Wright.

He is survived by : his children, Steven (Karen Boehrnsen), Bruce (Asia Boehrnsen), LuAnn Boehrnsen, Karen (Jim Wright), Barbara DeVore and Susan (Andy Barwegan). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
