He is survived by: his children, Anthony Gerlach (Brenda) of Greenville, SC, Maria Cunningham (Deryl) of Glen Carbon and Kristi Schmidt; his grandchildren, Abigail, Payson, Ciara, Braylon and Nyah; his siblings, Lois Doerr (Gordan), Dale Gerlach (Candi) and Carol Scherr; and his sister-in-law Jolene Gerlach.

In lieu of flowers, Don's family requests memorials to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Armstrong.
