She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Ramseier and Emma Franke; her husband Larvin Frank Scheiter; her sister Evelyn Mlekush (Edward "Butch"); her son-in-law Thomas Brown; and her brother-in-law James Yancik.
She is survived by: her children, Renee Brown of Edwardsville, IL, Jeff Scheiter (Hilda) of Collinsville, IL and Marsha Reiniger (Paul) of Collinsville, IL; her grandchildren, Todd Brown (Amanda) of Edwardsville, Tyler Brown (Lindsay) of Edwardsville, Brett Scheiter of St. Louis, MO, Heather Hayden (Richard) of Collinsville, Jake Scheiter (Sammy Ewing) of Collinsville, Julia Scheiter (Logan Killen) of Chicago, IL, Christopher Reiniger of Collinsville and Katelyn Reiniger of Collinsville; her great grandchildren, Grayson, Hadley, Tripp and Vail; and her sister Dorothy Yancik of Benton, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2800 N Center St, Maryville, IL 62062). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, the American Heart Association (https://pages.heart.org), or Partners for Pets and will be accepted at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
