It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Lee Portinga of Maryville, Illinois, born in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lynda; his parents, Henry Portinga and Alline Portinga; his siblings, Martha Johnson, Sue Thibedeau and Alan Portinga; and his nephew Mike Portinga.
He is survived by: his children, Nathan Portinga (Cherie) and Susan Sullivan (Ed); his grandchildren, Jonathan Portinga (Rachel), Christian Portinga, Joe Mikelson (Sara), Tim Mikelson, Sarah Mikelson and Caroline Mikelson; his great grandchild Maverick Mikelson; and his sister Joan Abreu.
