It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris B. Mayes of Mascoutah, Illinois, born in South Point, Ohio, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover C. and Bowman (John W. Mayes); her great grandchild Melinda Cheney; and her siblings, Phyllis Wooten, Elizabeth Thomas and David Bowman.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Wachtman of Mascoutah, IL and Howard Mayes (Karen) of St. Charles, MO; her grandchildren, Leigh Cheney (Austin) of Charleston, IL, Patricia Wachtman of Philadelphia, PA and Matthew Mayes (Kara) of Chesterfield, MO; her great grandchildren, David, Matthew, Nicholas Cheney, Jaclyn Gallagher, Sophia and Cooper Mayes; her sister Barbara Wagner; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Bail. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
