With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Frieda Walter of Mascoutah, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 28, 2024 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by : her husband Vincent Walter; her parents, Edgar and Leola; her brother Robert Watschinger; her father-in-law Karl; and her siblings-in-law, Delmar Walter (Mary Ann), Roy, Laurine Scott, Anthony Walter, David Showalter, Carol Walter, Dolores Walter, Victor Walter (Dotty) and Charles Walter.
She is survived by : her daughters, Ruth Ann Walter of Mascoutah, Valerie Wombacher (Dean) of Mascoutah and Tanya Richter (Jason) of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Derrick Wombacher (Ashley), Courtney Wombacher (Joseph Colbert), Hilary Eckert (Justin), Holly Niemann (David), Benjamin Richter (Anna Sanderson), Allison Holcomb (Ryan) and Abigail Schmidt (Christian); her great grandchildren, Winter, Chloe, Adalynn Richardson, Marlene, Ellouise Niemann and Adalynn Eckert; and her sister-in-law Katherine Showalter. She is also survived by many relatives and close friends.
