Louise E. Schafer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louise E. Schafer of Mason City, Illinois, who passed away on July 30, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonah Watkins and Nina Watkins (Austin); and her husband John C. Schafer. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Schwarm (Brent) of Vandalia and Linda Garlisch (Dick) of Forest City; her grandchildren, Julie Roberts (Kevin), Brad Horner (Sarah), Brent Horner (Michael), Scott Garlisch (Brandy), Stephanie Schafer, Jennifer Wagner (Josh), Nicole Schafer and Christine Schafer (Cory Bagby); and her stepgranddaughters, Brandy Shirley and Chelsey Lemme (Dane). She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mason County 4-H and Junior Shows, Mason City Methodist Church, or the Mason City Area Nursing Home Activities Department.
