It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Zimdars of Mason, Illinois, who passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thelma Zimdars to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza J. McKinney and Dessie Myrtle O'Dell McKinney (Scammahorn); her husband Ervin Zimdars; her son Darrel Zimdars; and her siblings, Faye Farris, Catherine Bushe, Dean McKinney, Willard McKinney and Charles McKinney.
She is survived by: her son Randy Zimdars (Shelly) of Mason; her grandchildren, Colby Zimdars, Kylie Huber (Dakota) and Cody Zimdars; her great grandchild Kaisley Huber; her daughter-in-law Mary Jo Zimdars of Elliotstown, Illinois; and her sisters, Syliva Mardis of Decatur and Nellie Blair of Decatur, Illinois.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McGriff Funeral Home (825 Chestnut St, Louisville, IL 62858). A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Thelma's memory to the North Clay Sports Boosters.
