With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allan N. Newman of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on March 26, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Nelson and Blanche Eleanor Newman (Allan); his daughter Lisa Newman; and his mother-in-law Eula Ihnen. He is survived by: his wife Karen Newman of Mattoon, IL; his daughters, Kristin Moncel (Mike), Michelle Hartbank (Terry Willenborg) and Stephanie Smith (Rob Lussenhop); and his grandchildren, Skyler Hartbank, Payton Hartbank (Jenny), Taylor Smith (Mike Novotny), Summerlyn Smith, Gibson Moncel and Brock Moncel.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to Coles County Animal Shelter, 6818 North County Road 1120 East, Charleston, IL 61920.
