Barbara Wright Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2025, at the age of 73, Barbara Wright of Mattoon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Eugene Butler and Joan Elizabeth Butler (Pygott); her siblings, Debbie Hendren and Robert Butler Jr.; her husband Gary Steven Wright of Mattoon, IL; her sons, Gary Joe Wright of Mattoon, IL and Todd Steven Wright (Tracy) of Mattoon, IL; her grandchildren, Austin Joseph Wright (Kenzie) of Mattoon, IL, Allison Jenae Allen (Christian) of Morrisonville, IL, Mason Alexander Wright (Gabi) of Mattoon, IL and Quentin Frederick Wright of Mattoon, IL; her great grandchildren, Zane Alexander Wright of Mattoon, IL and Asher Jace Wright of Mattoon, IL; and her siblings, Janice Harp (Audie) of Mattoon, IL and Tom Butler (Lisa) of Mattoon, IL.. She was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schilling Funeral Home (1301 Charleston Ave, Mattoon, IL 61938). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
