He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Browning and Doris Browning (Dobbs); his grandson Emmit Haarman; his parents-in-law, Louis and Mary Jane Krietemeyer; and his brother-in-law Don Krietemeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Krietemeyer; his daughters, Angela "Angie" Haarman and Michelle Gill (Kyle); his grandchildren, Peyton Gill, Chloe Haarman, Avery Gill and Emma Jo Haarman; his brother Bobby Browning (Brenda); and his sisters-in-law, Linda Levingston (Jim) and Sandy McDowell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home (520 Oak Ave, Neoga, IL 62447). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org.
