It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Ruth James of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elwin Organ and Zelma Maxine Organ (Yates); her husband Jack Wesley James; and her brother James Organ. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Eugene Steury (Andrea) of Mattoon, IL, Richard Allan Steury (Lore) of Blanchard, OK and Patrick Lee Steury (Patricia) of O'Fallon, IL; her stepchildren, David L. James of Missouri, Catherine S. James of Casey, IL and Jill E. James of Charleston, IL.; her brother Lynn Alan Organ of Pensacola, FL; and her pet Bridgette. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
