It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellyn May of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Storm and Katherine Storm (Barnett); her husband Joseph Elmer May Sr.; her daughter Cindy May; her siblings, Pat Moran, Bud Storm and Jack Storm; and her grandson Owen Cunningham.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph May (Tina) of Arthur, IL and Susan Johnson (Alan) of Mattoon, IL; her nephew Don Tucker of Mattoon, IL; and her grandchildren, Joey May of Mattoon, IL, Adam May (Abbi) of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Danielle Roth (Ryan) of Iisle, IL, Quinton Cunningham (Kaitlin) of Moulton, AL, Addilynn Cunningham (James Manrique) of Champaign, IL, Kenzie May and Caden May (Hannah). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Apostolic Center (205 Country Club Rd, Mattoon, IL 61938). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
