He is survived by: his wife Juanita Deere of Mattoon, IL; his children, Greg Deere (Gina) of West Lafayette, IN, Gordon Deere of Mattoon, IL and Jera Seigars (Duke) of Eagan, MN; his stepchildren, Renee Stroud-Witt (Gary) of Mattoon, IL and Rob Stroud (Beckie) of Mattoon, IL; his grandchildren, Isaac Deere, Kaylee Blacklidge, Joshua Kolle, Kareen Dankers, Hannah Stroud and Owen Stroud; his great grandchildren, Hannah Deere, Gideon Deere, Rachel Deere, Bentley Deere, Xavier Deere and Madeline Blacklidge; and his sister Kathy Lindsay (Carl) of Carbondale, IL..
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Friendship General Baptist Church (1635 Friendship Loop, Goreville, IL 62939).
