With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ivan Cecil Elder of Mattoon, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Elder and Arvie Elder (Edwards); and his siblings, Denzil, Larry and Ruby Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Tewel; his children, Cindy Worthey (Billy), Gary Elder (Tava) and Jody Littleton (Paul); his sister Pansy Bumpus (Mac); his grandchildren, Dana Adams (Gary), Jared Elder (Elizabeth) and Kevin Elder; and his great grandchildren, Jayde, Reese, Maya, Aria, Ivan and Olli.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local animal shelter in honor of Ivan's love for animals.
