It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leslie Burgess of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Leslie and Nola Jean Pifer Burgess; his son Gary Leroy Burgess; and his sister Carol Elders. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Combs; his sons, Aaron Burgess of Rantoul and Brian Burgess of Mattoon; and his brothers, Ronnie Burgess (Kathy), Wesley Burgess and Larry Burgess (Betsy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
