She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Francis and Irma May Miller (Block); her husband Charles Edward "Scottie" Scott of Scott's Garage; her in-laws, Clarence and Lillian Scott; her sister Fran; her brother-in-law Dale Whitley; her brother Darrell "Bud"; and her sister-in-law Wanda Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Cheri Scott of Mattoon, IL, Doug Scott (Connie) of Mattoon, IL, Teri South of Rock Falls, IL and Sandy Christensen (Greg) of Villisca, IA; her grandchildren, Heather South (Marcus Thompson), Joey South, Brandon Drummond, Tony South (Rachael) and Aurora Scott; her great grandchildren, Khassid Thompson, Brennan Thompson, Connor South, Cooper South, Kierra South, Marlee Thompson, Sienna Thompson, Colson South and Bradley Drummond; her brother Bob; her sister-in-law Ann Miller; her niece Nancy; her caregiver Beth; and her pet Ellie. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schilling Funeral Home (1301 Charleston Ave, Mattoon, IL 61938). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (320 N 21st St, Mattoon, IL 61938).
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to the Coles County Animal Shelter, 6818 North County Road 1120 East, Charleston, Illinois 61920 or a charity of the donor's choice.
