The passing of Martha Kerans of Mattoon, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 1, 2025 at the age of 77. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Martha shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Martha farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bowling and Edna Bowling (Weatheral); her boyfriend Danny Heiland; and her siblings, Billy Gene Bowling and Dianne O'Dell.
She is survived by: her daughter Paula Frevele of Lerna, IL; her grandchildren, Leslie Frevele and Katelyn Sowers (Jayson) of Lerna, IL; her sister Ruth Ann Strange of Terre Haute, IN; and her niece Teresa Allsop (JC) of Tower Hill, IL. She is also survived by four nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mound Cemetery (1285 W State St, Charleston, IL 61920).
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
