He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Rilenge and Helen Rilenge (Kirk); his daughter Lisa Rilenge; and his sister Janie Rilenge. He is survived by: his children, JoAnn Rilenge of Mattoon, IL, Michael Rilenge (Kim) and Jodie Rilenge of Mattoon, IL; his grandchildren, Austin, Mykayla, Dylan, Hayley, Ethan and Chloe; and his close friend Paula Bingeman. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Coles County Animal Shelter.
