He was predeceased by: his father Burris Boyer; his sister Gina Lang; and his nephew Mike Strong. He is survived by: his mother Elfriede Boyer (Weschler) of Mattoon, IL; his wife Mary Boyer of Mattoon, IL; his children, Paula Boyer of Mattoon, IL and Christopher Lee Boyer (Brandy) of Mattoon, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Amber French of Mattoon, IL, Adam French of Mattoon, IL and Trevor Long of Decatur, IL; and his siblings, Sonja Strong of Mattoon, IL., Scott Boyer (Tara) of Mattoon, IL. and Connie Bales (Mike) of Mattoon, IL.. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
