She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert Epperson and Mertie Epperson (Atchley); her husband John Hensley; her siblings, Dennis Epperson and Cathy Goodwin; and her pets, Benji and Alf.

She is survived by: her son Randy Darkow; and her siblings, Joe Epperson (Sherry), Steve Epperson (Marcia), Greg Epperson (Gena), Sharon Epperson-Hayes (Russ), Jan Oliver (Jay), Brenda Epperson, Terri Secrest, Debbie Elder (Mike) and Angie Herbert (Chris). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
