He is survived by: his wife Milli Metzger Carter of Mattoon, IL; his children, Kyle Carter of Mattoon, IL, Jamie Jo Carter, Stephanee Griffith (Dustin) of Arcola, IL, Gil Metzger (Mallory) of Mattoon, IL and Jackee Edwards (Sidney) of Sullivan, IL; his grandchildren, Elliana Carter of Mattoon, IL, Jackson "Tank" Griffith of Arcola, IL, Stevee Griffith of Arcola, IL, Easton Griffith of Arcola, IL, Weldin Metzger of Mattoon, IL, Sophee Metzger of Mattoon, IL, Ezekiel "Zeke" Hardesty of Sullivan, IL and Weston Edwards of Sullivan, IL; and his sisters, Paulette Lamanske, Nancy Bean and Mary Philpott.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Family Worship Center (5475 Lerna Rd, Mattoon, IL 61938). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Tyler Ross Jones Santa House.
